The Last Night
We finally wound down yesterday and had the most amazing meal at the best restaurant on the strip; N9NE @ Palms.
It involved some amazing steaks and 'pinchy' the lobster to which i'm looking forward to digesting on a 14 hour flight home!
I was also treated to a surprise gift from the boys back home who could unfortunately not make it this week to a bottle of top dollar champagne. Cheers boys, this was the perfect end to a perfect week.
Played our last game of poker afterwards and saw Carlos Mortensen playing in Iveys room. For those who dont know, he is practically poker royalty.

Steve Aoki @ XS
Having mulled over a venue for several hours (Monday is a bit of a slow night) we reluctantly plumped for XS at Encore, having already been on Saturday.
Arrived early to discover Steve Aoki was starting his summer residency tonight.
The most amazing DJ set I've ever seen followed with a guest appearance from Steve Angello (one of the Swedish House Mafia) and Calvin Harris.
Steve Aoki played amazingly bonkers tunes from start to finish, stood on the decks spraying Dom Perignon over the crowd and crowd-surfed on an inflatable mattress.
The Grafton it was not.

Mersey Shore

I'm sure most people will have at least heard of Jersey Shore. Today, Phil decided to create his own version by lobstering up in the sun...
Location : 3730 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109,
Aria Hotel Room
The devices control the following:
- all lights in the room, each with 5 levels of light control
- sound system
- TV
- net curtains
- blackout curtains
- air conditioning
- electronic "do not disturb sign"
All of these can be programmed for entry to the room, so you can set the TV, lights and air con to come on when you walk into the room.
A "goodnight" button on the bedside table will switch everything off and close the curtains.
A "wake-up" setting allows you to open the curtains and play your choice of music at a certain time, the aircon will prepare the room to a certain temperature before you wake up and the lights will come on gradually.
The Travelodge it is not.

More scary food - death by hot dog this time

Paul ordered a foot long hot dog yesterday. He didn't realise it would also be 3" thick!

Flaming Drambuies and you be Nato...
After an amazing night around lots of different Vegas nightspots, culminating in Ghost and Moon, we ended up back in the MGM Grand hotel bar.
There was a fair amount of random booze consumed before I decided some flaming drambuies would be a good idea so I ordered 6 doubles (by this time we'd befriended a cool guy from Chicago who'd joined us.) The barman seemed to want to get the drambuie off his shelf as I left the bar with 6 half-pints of the stuff!
After a bit of drunken explanation (and a few burnt knuckles) we all drank our drambuies. This seemed to be a tipping point for the night and caused half the guys to hit the poker room, leaving Phil and I with Chicago.
Somehow we got into a deep and meaningful about US and world politics. At the point Chicago said "I'll be Obama", Phil said "I'll be Ghadafi" and then they both pointed at me and said in unison "you be Nato" I knew it was curtains...

Nacho mountain

Just been for a late lunch in the Aria's Cafe. We ordered some nachos for the table to share, and I ordered a portion for myself, from the appetiser section of the menu, thinking it would be a nice snack.
It wasn't. It was death by nachos. I had to take a second photo with my hand in to give some idea of size!
